Matsue Horan-enya Memorial Hall

What is Horan-enya?

With a 360-year history, this festival whose official name is “Shikinen Shinkosai of Matsue’s Jozan Inari Shrine”, took the name Horan-enya from the words which the participants sung rhythmically to each other. Once every 10 years, a flamboyant procession of about 100 boats takes place.
